How do I transfer a domain to URSY?
Unlock the domain with your current provider and ask for its auth (EPP) code, then start the transfer from your URSY account. Generic extensions usually complete within five days; UK extensions move the same day once the IPS tag changes to ours.
Will my site or email go down during a transfer?
No. DNS records travel with the domain and nothing is switched off. Leave your nameservers as they are during the move and visitors never notice.
Can I transfer a domain that expires next week?
Usually, but do not cut it fine. Renew first if expiry is inside seven days — some registries refuse transfers during grace, and a renewal at the old provider still carries over as an extra year.
What is an IPS tag?
It is how UK extensions move: instead of an auth code, your current provider sets the domain’s IPS tag to the new registrar’s tag. Ours is shown in your account, and the change usually takes effect within minutes.
